Past Hero's Wishes
Hello everyone, my name is IS2 E. Castro. I joined the Navy reserves in 2016 and have been on two deployments so far [one to Jordan (2020), and one throughout Kuwait/Iraq/Syria (2022-2023)]. Unfortunately, this deployment has been pretty rough on my family. From a car accident (car totaled, but no serious injuries), to my oldest son getting sick and having dangerously low platelet counts (now recovered). Throughout all of this (and many other stressors) I managed to persevere and push on with my deployment with the support of my strong family. It was tough not being able to support them in the ways I usually would, but I'm looking to make it up to them in the little ways that I can. I would like to take my wife and three boys out to enjoy a few days at Disney World. None of us have ever been, and my children are absolute Disney fanatics. I would love to see the smiles on their faces and watch their little eyes light up. Please help me in this effort. I appreciate your time and any support towards this goal. Thank you all.

My husband and I would love to be able to surprise our 3 girls (Kaidence 13, Makayla 11, and Hailey 5) with a 4 day Park Hopper +Genie Service At the DisneyLand Park in Anaheim California (we would need 5 tickets since we are a family of 5!) This deployment has been tough since I have been away through every family members' birthday and all the major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas time frame). I have missed many milestones (including my youngest losing her first teeth!) and events that I normally would be front and center. I would love nothing more than to come home and be able to take a vacation to California to see some of our family and add Disney in our plans! We would love the opportunity to be able to stay at one of the DisneyLand Resort hotels to capture the full experience of the Happiest place on earth!!

Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity for our family. We loved Disneyland and California Adventure! We rode every ride and even my 5 year old kept up with her 2 older sisters, riding everything! Spending this week together having nothing but fun was amazing and we are forever thankful to your donation!

Hello, I am a Purple Heart Recipient and Wounded Warrior who is 100% Disabled from being Combat Wounded in Afghanistan. My “Hero's Wish” may seem a bit funny to some but I’m requesting tickets to see Morgan Wallen in Austin, TX on May 24, 2023, it’s not because I think he’s cute hahaha, it’s because I want to surprise my wife with them. My wife has fought for me, for my care, attended every doctor’s appointment leading up to my Med Board process and throughout it, even while 7 months pregnant with our 3rd child. She gave up her career to raise our children, including that 3rd child who was severely disabled by being exposed to toxic mold in base housing. She’s still fighting for me despite having to fight for him nonstop as well now. She’s a rockstar and completely deserves this.. I just can’t afford to make it happen due to have our special needs son. Tricare unfortunately doesn’t cover the doctors, supplements, therapies and testing he needs. Anyway, so my wish is to take her to see Morgan Wallen since he’s coming here in a few months. I really appreciate anyone who took the time to read this and can help fulfill this wish. Thank you and God bless!

I just have to say thank you so very much to Vet Tix and all of the generous donations we received from the generous people listed, my wife and I had an amazing time and a much needed date night! The concert was rescheduled to November due to Morgan losing his voice and we found out a month before the concert that my wife was pregnant again, so our baby girl’s first concert was Morgan Wallen (by default) as well! This organization and the wonderful people above have truly blessed our family and we’re forever grateful for the experience!! Thank you and Semper Fi!

My name is James Campbell. I am being medically retired after nearly 14 years of military service in the United States Navy. Life has been difficult for my family. In 2013, I deployed to Afghanistan with a Tier 1 Special Operations Joint Taskforce. In many ways, it was the most rewarding experience of my life - in others the deployment had severe consequences for my family and myself. The OPSTEMPO was relentless, we were manned ISR supporting near daily air strikes and compound raids. I suffered a mild Traumatic Brain Injury in country, I began to have nightmares, and was suspicious of everyone. My wife had left me during the deployment, and I came home a single father of my two sons. I remarried in 2018 in Las Vegas to my amazing and supportive wife Brittany, who took on my sons as her own. A month later, we did a PCS move to Hawaii for a desk job as an intelligence analyst and we thought life was going to be our honeymoon. It wasn't. In 2019, due to my military affiliations, my family was stalked by an extremist who wrote a manifesto planning to do heinous acts to my wife and our two sons. He has since murdered his cell mate and our life has not been the same since the home invasion. Our life literally became a lifetime special. We have moved from state to state to state, first on Humanitarian Support orders, then again because medical treatment wasn't available due to COVID restrictions. I suffer from Chronic Severe PTSD related to the combat and civilian traumas. Brittany has been incredibly supportive, and we had a baby girl who is now a year old. I've been to every level of treatment that exists, residential, partial hospitalization, group, etc etc etc. Even tried Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation therapy. I can't seem to get back to where I was. Admittedly, this began back in 2013, but I couldn't manage more than one session of exposure therapy. Now that my service is wrapping up, I feel defeated, like I have let my family down. I am being rated 100% P&T for combat related PTSD with comorbid TBI, Narcolepsy, and Migraines amongst others. I would love for the opportunity to receive 4-day park hopper tickets to take my wife and the kids to Disneyland. I don't like to get out of the house, but I think with the right accommodations through guest services, I would love to just feel like a normal family again.

Thank you so much to Vet Tix and your amazing donors. Edgar, I think I see what you did there - you are beyond generous, thanks brother. Luz, Kimberly, John in honor of PFC Walter Stevenson, Herbert, and the Hero's fund, I cannot express strongly enough how meaningful this was to me and my family. It is easy to feel lost in the mix. Having my military and veteran brothers and sisters provide this experience for my family definitely let me know we've all still got each other's backs. I cannot thank you all enough. Much love and appreciation from my family - James.

I am currently serving my 2nd tour overseas in the Middle East as a part of Patrol Forces Southwest Asia. I am married to my loving wife and blessed with 3 beautiful little girls. As a Coast Guardsman, My wife and children understood the importance of my volunteering for a 2nd tour and the impact I can make for my service and country. Although the work is hard and rewarding, I feel my family has the hardest job, my children being without their father for another year, and most importantly my wife for her sacrifice and struggles of maintaining a household with me gone. Our wish is for my family to have a magical Disney World experience when I complete my deployment and return home. We have already arranged airfare and hotel accommodations, we are respectfully requesting help in attaining 4-day park hopper passes plus option for my family of 5. After a year in the gulf, this wish would truly be our way to not only come together as a family once again, but make wonderful memories in the process. Thank you for taking the time to read and God bless.

My name is Zachary Bowman. I am a staff sergeant in the United States Army (19D Cavalry Scout) currently on recruiting duty. I joined the Army in 2014 because I had plans to start a family and I wanted to give them the stability that I never had. I have a wife and 2 sons, ages 5 and 7. I have served two overseas tours and I have spent a lot of time away from my family for training and professional development (various Army schools). I have missed several of my kids birthdays and many more important holidays with them. Since my first year in service, my wife has always volunteered with my units and taken good care of the soldiers. Even when I have been overseas, she has taken care of the spouses back on the home front. She has been awarded several awards from the Army including Volunteer of the Year and an Order of Saint Joan D’Arc, and many more. I am a recipient of the Order of Saint George medallion. My boys have always been very interested in my career, my oldest son even says he is going to join the Army and become a veterinary. Both of my kids are very active in jiujitsu and Cub Scouts, they are all around great kids. On my second rotation overseas I was injured and sent home early. I am healed now and ready to get back to being active with my family. I am asking for your help to take my family of 4 to Disney World this year. My boys are obsessed with Lightning McQueen, Toy Story, and Pirates of the Caribbean so this would be a dream come true for them. My career so far has been great but unpredictable so now that I am in recruiting I have more scheduled stability and I would like to take this time to put my family first and thank them for following me along on their crazy journey. I am hoping to surprise my wife and kids with this vacation to thank them for always supporting me and the rest of the Army, even when I am away. I would love to take my family of 4 to Disney World. I am asking for donations for park hopper tickets so I can enjoy a much needed vacation with my family.

Hello, my name is Jesse Spencer. I am currently deployed to the Middle East. I have served in the Army National Guard for 9 years as a Flight Medic and then transitioned over to the Air Force National Guard for the past 2 years as a Firefighter. I would like to respectfully request Four 4-day park hopper tickets to Walt Disney World in Florida. We are planning on going in April and this would be an amazing family spring break trip where we could relax, have fun, and reconnect after being deployed for over 6 months. We are a family of 5, but our youngest won't require a ticket. Thank you for any help. We really appreciate it.

Thank you so much for donating tickets to Disney!! We had a wonderful time reconnecting as a family after deployment. It was our youngest child's first time at Disney and she was in absolute wonder. The big kids loved being able to ride rollercoasters! We loved being able to create memories with our 3 kids and letting them pick out whatever they wanted at the Disney Store. By providing these tickets it took the financial burden off of us, which was greatly appreciated. We cannot thank you enough!!!!

My name is Bruce Haskin. After serving for nearly 22 years, I am being medically retired related to an injury I received in a VBIED (car bomb) in Afghanistan. I am married to Mary (just celebrated 14 year anniversary), have three children, Austin (11), Katherine (9), and Samuel (7). When I left for Afghanistan in 2019, I planned to take the family to Disney when I returned in April 2020. Well, with the bomb, and then pandemic starting while I was gone, that never came to fruition. Then we moved to Ohio a few months after I returned, bought a house and immediately incurred over $20,000 in unexpected and unplanned major home repairs, and recently another $15,000 in repairs in a house flood while we were away for a few days. I have missed birthdays, anniversaries, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and more, and honestly my family and I need a reset, some true fun and relaxation. We will be forever grateful for this opportunity. I appreciate your consideration and kind donation if you choose to do so. I would like to take my family to Disney World. I have three children therefore requesting 5 tickets if that is possible. Thank you.
