Hello, my name is Robert Velazquez. I'm an Army Veteran and Purple Heart Recipient. I deployed to Afghanistan in 2011 where I sustained my injuries from an IED. After coming home, I joined the Texas National Guard while going to school, however, eventually decided to leave the military behind me. I served for 6 years combined. As many veterans do, I faced several challenges, both mentally and physically. But I met my now wife, Rocio, who was and has been my number one support system through it all. We have been together for 11 years, married for eight, and have two beautiful children, Penelope (5) and Lucas (2). They are my purpose and mean everything to me. I know I can't give them everything they deserve, but I try to give them the best version of myself every single day. This year, my wife and I had multiple conversations about taking our kids to Disneyland, but the chances of us going got slimmer by the day. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we won't be able to go. I'm not one to ask for help, just ask my wife. However, I am now turning to VETTIX and the Hero's Wish Program in hopes that my wish to surprise my family with (3) 2-Day Tickets to Disneyland & California Adventure Park can be granted.
