I have been in the Navy for 23 years, and over the last 5 I have been mostly separated from my family. I moved overseas for a 2 year unaccompanied tour, before returning home and experiencing extended deployments due to the COVID environment that we now live in. I was deployed for 7 months in 2020, then this year I was deployed for 3.5 months before being redeployed right before Christmas. We currently live in Washington State and will be moving back to the east coast this spring. My wish is to take my family to Disneyland when I return in a few weeks for a belated Christmas.
