Hello, my name is SGT Michael Barton! I JUST got home from a 9 month deployment in Afghanistan. I would LOVE to surprise my family with a trip to Disney World! My beautiful wife has given so much to help me and my career and did amazing while I was away. Our son is 7 and the perfect age to go to Disney and truly enjoy the magic. My son really struggled this deployment and he would absolutely love Disney World. None of us have ever been to Disney World and we actually didn't get to have a honeymoon because we had to immediately PCS and then I had to deploy. I hope to give my family a real vacation with lots of magic and wonder. I am so grateful to be home again with my family and I would love to give them this trip and make some once in a lifetime memories.

Thank you VET TIX and all the gracious donors for helping us take our very first family vacation! Disney world was truly magical! The time spent with my family was a priceless gift! We are so grateful to have gotten to make these life long memories. Our son had an absolute blast and to see his happiness made us so happy. We rode rides, we ate so much food, we walked hand in hand through the parks, we took pictures, we tried new things, and we loved it. We got to watch the magic kingdom fireworks show from 15 stories up and it was truly magical to have my family in my arms while we watched magic happen. I am so thankful to have gotten this time with my family. It was amazing. We discovered our son LOVES Star Wars and we were able to bond over my own love of Star Wars with him. Thank you to every single person who made this happen. We are so very very grateful to you. We needed this family time together. It was truly a time for us to connect and just enjoy each others company. It was a beautiful experience and from it we feel closer than ever.
