My name is Sergeant Troy Thomas. I am currently post-deployment from my second tour in Afghanistan. I am working my way into being more comfortable in crowds and social settings. I am a HUGE Formula One fan and missed most of the past few seasons due to deployments. I have not been to Austin, TX to see the new facility or a race and I would love to take my wife and experience F1, one of my favorite sports. I would like to respectfully request tickets for the practice and qualifying sessions, along with the actual race. Regardless of what I may receive, I am grateful for the opportunity to share my love of F1 and I appreciate your consideration.

What an incredible experience! My wife and I would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to COTA, as well as the following donors: David, Douglas, Michael, Dorothy, Thomas, Freddie, Mark, Alexis, and Stefan. Without their support, we would not have been able to have this once-in-a-lifetime experience. With the help of our family, we were able to fly to Austin and stay for the entire F1 weekend. The staff at COTA went out of their way to make this a memorable experience with great seats in Turn 15. We also had an opportunity to tour the grounds, do all of the Formula One experiences, and attend the Justin Timberlake concert on Saturday night. It was also incredibly helpful to have such great parking available with our race tickets! Parking allowed us to leave quickly following the race and make our return flight home on Sunday evening. Thank you again so much for this absolutely incredible experience. I never expect or demand any praise for serving my country, so this goes above and beyond.
