I'm Jeff Grosky and I am one of the many severely injured Marines from 3rd Battalion 5th Marines that went to the deployment from hell Sept 10-April 11. On Oct 31, 2010, while on a foot patrol to take a known Taliban house...I hit an IED. One of the results is I lost my right leg below the knee. During my 19 months of rehab and recovery in San Diego, I had a wish that when I got home my dad and I could go to a Washington Redskins home game...the one against Philadelphia on Nov 18, 2012. I got home several months ago and found how hard the tickets were to get and thought maybe we would not be able to go. I grew up in Virginia Beach, as my dad is also a career retired Marine and was stationed there several times for 18 yrs. We kept the family there even though he went to Ca for one 5 yr assignment. We are long time Redskins fans, but never made it up to a home game and now we live in South Dakota. If we could get some tickets, then we would get there!!

I just wanted to thank the Veterans Tickets Foundation and the very generous person who donated the tickets! It was an experience of a life time and something I'll probably never have the chance to do again. Its something my dad and I have wanted to do for a very long time and it was everything we expected and more. We are very grateful for the speedy response as we didn't know if we would be able to get tickets in time! The home victory against the Eagles was a perfect way to cap off a perfect trip!
