Past Hero's Wishes
I’m married to my high school sweetheart, Marie (14 years married) and together we have two children, Elodie (7 years old) and Gabriel (3 years old). I've been in the military for 14 years, a majority of the time being in MARSOC as a Marine Special Ops Operator. For my 5th and most recent deployment in April of 2023 I was Force Mobilized to Iraq with NATO. Due to sourcing issues for a replacement, I was extended three times to make a six months turn into a one year deployment overseas! Over the year, I’ve missed birthdays and holidays alike, especially when the kids were hoping for me to be “home by their birthdays!” As I look to come home and reconnect with my family after one year apart, I’m wishing to take my family to Disney World. Having time together would be a blessing and opportunity to help make up for all the time lost while I was in Iraq. My kids and wife have been so strong thinking I would be home soon and to be disappointed to find the deployment was extended 3 times for a total of a year. I would love to be able to surprise the kids with this. Thank you so much for your consideration and hopeful support. As we say in the Marine Raiders, “Never above you, never below you, always beside you.”

Family Disney World Trip After 1 Year Deployment
My name is Stephen. I have been in the Army since 2016. While I have been deployed, my wife has been doing a fantastic job keeping up with those young rascals. Aren’t those the cutest little future soldiers you’ve ever seen? After six months of deployment, I would love to take all five of us to “the Happiest Place on Earth“ with 4-day Park Hopper Plus tix … and see some big smiles. As always, we are proud to be part of the world’s greatest Army.

John, Trent, James (and Hero’s Wish), Thank you for your donations. I do hope that helping to supporting my family’s reunion adventure gave you a sense of fulfillment, and honored the special people you mentioned. We had a great time! I know that being gone on deployment was a big (and often challenging) event for my family. I’m hoping that when they think back to this time they think of how the sacrifice made possible the big trip to Disney. Thank you for helping to make this happen! V/r, Steve

Walt Disney World Adventure for five
Hello, my name is Robert Velazquez. I'm an Army Veteran and Purple Heart Recipient. I deployed to Afghanistan in 2011 where I sustained my injuries from an IED. After coming home, I joined the Texas National Guard while going to school, however, eventually decided to leave the military behind me. I served for 6 years combined. As many veterans do, I faced several challenges, both mentally and physically. But I met my now wife, Rocio, who was and has been my number one support system through it all. We have been together for 11 years, married for eight, and have two beautiful children, Penelope (5) and Lucas (2). They are my purpose and mean everything to me. I know I can't give them everything they deserve, but I try to give them the best version of myself every single day. This year, my wife and I had multiple conversations about taking our kids to Disneyland, but the chances of us going got slimmer by the day. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we won't be able to go. I'm not one to ask for help, just ask my wife. However, I am now turning to VETTIX and the Hero's Wish Program in hopes that my wish to surprise my family with (3) 2-Day Tickets to Disneyland & California Adventure Park can be granted. Fulfilled or not, I appreciate what VETTIX and all Donors do for our military community. You have a much bigger impact than you realize. Thank you greatly for your consideration. Sgt. V.

Thank you to everyone who donated and made this wish possible. We had an unforgettable trip to Disneyland and we will cherish the memories we created. If it wasn't for Vet Tix and all your generous donations, I'm not sure I could have given this gift to my family. It was truly an amazing experience and we are forever grateful. Thank you and I deeply appreciate what you all do for Veterans and their families.

Hi, my name is John. I am coming home from my 3rd and final deployment as retirement is coming soon. I have been married almost 19 years and away from my family a lot in that time. This deployment was 9 months. Our teenage son plays soccer and going to MLS games is our happy/family time. Our family loves Austin FC and would appreciated season opener tickets at Q2 stadium. My name is James. I Marine veteran and severely wounded purple heart recipient. My youngest daughter was born during the pandemic and we would love to give her the magical memories of a Disney experience. I am requesting tickets for my family of 5 for Walt Disney World in order to create lifelong memories for our family. During my deployment in Iraq I experienced loss of lives too soon. I have tried to make it a priority to make memories in my everyday life with my wife and three daughters as often as I can, because tomorrow is never promised.

My family and I would like to thank the Veteran Tickets Foundation and the generous donors. We had a great time making lasting memories together. Our youngest loved getting to meet her favorite princess, Elsa, and really enjoyed the Frozen Ever After ride. Our middle child is a huge Ratatouille fan and looked forward to the Ratatouille ride for weeks which did not disappoint. She loved meeting her favorite princess, Belle. Our teenager even enjoyed the magic of meeting her favorite character, Stitch, and loved the bigger thrill rides like Tower of Terror. The real highlight was our youngest getting twirled around by Goofy at a dance party. Thank you!

Family Memory Making Trip to Walt Disney
I have just returned from deployment as I was overseas for the past 10 months I learned how difficult it is to be without those you love, and also learned to lean on my soldiers. It was difficult 10 months being in the Middle East, I have gone through both emotional and physical challenges that have turned me into the strong person I am. I have grown, and changes a lot but music kept me going. Sharing music with the person I love the most who stuck by me is truly my biggest dream, I wish to experience the Eagles with the person that stuck by through this deployment. The tickets themselves alone are an expense that would be alleviated as I would cover for travel and stay since I am originally from Texas. Any help is appreciated, considering my transition as a whole has been difficult it is genuinely something that would help me financially as well as give a breather after being gone for so long

My wish is to see the Eagles perform at the Sphere in Las Vegas
My name is Michelle. Roughly one month ago, I returned home to the states from a nine month overseas deployment. The length of time being away became slightly more stressful for me and our family once my eldest son decided to join the military as well, leaving his daughter (my grand-daughter) to rely solely on her mother and extended family members (when possible) to care for her. My grand-daughter is three years old and although I hope in due time she'll understand her father and I commitments, I'd like to make a wish to be able to take her on a Disney World Trip in order to spend some quality time with her and reestablish our bond. Her and I are close but it seems slightly different now as she would inquire as to where I was for so long, especially when she would go to my house prior to her dad shipping off. I'd really appreciate being granted this grand wish either as a late birthday gift to her [early October she'll be 4 yrs. old] or an early Christmas gift since we were not together last holiday season, thank you!

Thank You Message from the Hero:
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the Veteran Tickets Foundation (VetTix) and all the donors for sending me and my grand-daughter on our post-deployment Disney World trip to Orlando, FL. Unfortunately, my oldest son [my grand-daughters' father] could not take leave from the military during the time of our trip and my youngest son was sick, being unable to make the flight; however, my grand-daughter and I made the most of every single day and had SO much fun! We spent each of the four days at a different park; riding rides, seeing shows, meeting / taking pictures with Disney characters on the red carpet and more importantly attending the Frozen Sing-a-Long with Princess Elsa and Anna. This trip made my whole heart smile because my grand-daughter and I were able to genuinely reconnect without unnecessary distractions and surprisingly enough at four years old, she consistently kept telling me that she loved me the entire trip which was her way of expressing her appreciation and happiness to be at Disney World....I know, I know, my heart is still smiling! Although I truly wish we all four could have spent this vacation together, it was not a total loss at all. I truly Thank You and can't express enough my gratitude for this first time experience for both Aria & I.

Hello, my name is Riley. I am currently deployed in Iraq serving a 6 month deployment and my wish is to take my family to a Broadway show once I return to make up for lost time! No one in my family, including me, has ever been able to see a show and would love to give them that experience!

My name is Stephen and I was in the Army from 2006-2013. During my deployment in 2011, my friend was killed and I was injured in an IED explosion. • Rose Anne in Honor of Henry P. Mallon, Army,Special Forces, donated $25.00
Thank You Message from the Hero:
I cannot fully express my extreme gratitude for such a generous gift! I am so humbled by the generosity of Paul and Rose Anne. It brought me such joy to experience something like the Army Navy game with my dad and my son. I was able to share more with them the fun times and all the struggles that went into my time in the Army. The true hero’s however are those who went before me such as Bill Jaret and Henry Mallon and those who paid the ultimate sacrifice like PFC Theodore Rushing of 371 Cav 3rd Bde 10th Mountain. Because of you all any of this is possible! Thank you!
