Current Hero's Wishes
Hi! My name is Jeff and I am currently on 13 month mobilization orders deployed to the Middle East. Proudly serving in the US Navy Reserve, this is my fourth overseas deployment in 6 years. I’d really like to surprise my family with a long overdue vacation. My wife and I are parents to a disabled, special needs adult child that gets super excited about anything Disney. We have always wanted to be able to plan a trip to take him to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. My wife is the real hero here as she has been home holding things down and taking care of our boy while I've been away. This particular deployment was made more challenging because of course, everything waits for me to leave to go wrong so she has faced home repairs and dealt with having to get the AC fixed in the heat of the Texas summer. Her car has been in for repairs as well. The sacrifices she makes every day in support of our family are not easy but she goes above and beyond to get it all done! I am so proud of her and wish so much to make her dream a realization and take our family on this vacation to make up for all the time I have missed through these deployments! I expect to return home by early May 2024 and would really appreciate any help in making this wish for four, 3-day park-hopper-plus tickets (with available disability services) come true! If it does, we would plan our trip between April and September 2025. Thank you for taking the time to read my wish!

Hello, my name is David and I am writing this asking for your help to fulfill a family trip to help celebrate our retirement from the Military. I enlisted in the military in 2004 and over the past 20 years of service, 14 of those have been in special operations. My career has taken me on 16 combat deployments, resulting in many missed holidays, birthdays, and significant family events. My service has been the honor of my life, but now I am seeking support for a family trip to help mend those missed moments and reconnect with my loved ones. We are seeking a 5-day 3 park pass to Universal Studios Orlando. Now that my kids are tall enough to ride anything, we looking forward to enjoying every attraction the park has to offer. Thanks!

Hello, my name is Stephanie. I’m 29 years old and currently serving in the Army. Over the course of my career, I’ve had one overseas deployment that changed my life in ways I could never have imagined. During that deployment, my family endured unimaginable pain. We lost a loved one, and I received the devastating news that my daughter had been a victim of S/A at the hands of someone we trusted. Around the same time, my wife’s mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Being away from my family during such a difficult time was one of the hardest challenges I’ve faced. I couldn’t be there to support them when they needed me most, and that weighs heavy on my heart. All I want now is to give my little girl a moment of happiness, a chance to feel like a carefree child again. Taking her to the happiest place on earth is a small dream, but one I believe she deserves after everything she’s been through. While I know this won’t fix what has happened, I hope it can bring a smile to her face and create a precious memory for her to hold onto. If you’re able to support us in making this dream come true, my family and I would be forever grateful. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to giving her this special experience. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can offer.

On behalf of my family, we wish to express our heartfelt THANK YOU to all those who helped make our Hero's Wish a reality. The experience we had attending Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was remarkable and will be something my kids will remember for a long time. Even though we're big Harry Potter fans, attending this play on Broadway would not have happened without the generosity of all the donors and VetTix. While in NYC, we also took time to visit the 9/11 Memorial and the Intrepid Museum which helped my kids better understand the many ways in which we can serve our communities. This was one of the most awesome experiences of my life. To be able to return home after a long ten months in Afghanistan and see the looks on their faces was amazing. We were able to share some much needed family time, as I am a single mom and they were in the care of my mother during my absence. I am at a loss for words to cover my gratitude to those who assisted in making this wish/dream come true. I truly do not know if we would have been able to have the same experience during this vacation if it were not for those donors who came to our aid/assistance. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I wish I could share more pictures! Words can not express the impact you provided my family this summer. To be able to visit four Disney World Theme Parks was truly a dream come true. My daughter, who is autistic, actually talked to someone (Princess Ariel) other than my wife and I, for the first time since she was 2! We were floored to have received three four day park hoppers for Disney Parks in Orlando, FL. The gesture was much more than expected from our original request of one day at Disney. Michelle and Vet Tix made it possible to finally on our promise to take Connor to Disney Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. He said it best when he said "Its the greatest day of my life".
