Current Hero's Wishes
My name is John and I am an active duty Marine from Alabama. I will be returning from my 4th deployment mid-November and have the opportunity to return home to Alabama for Thanksgiving for the first time in many years! It would be a dream come true to get 5 tickets and be able to take my wife and 3 daughters to the Iron Bowl! We are huge Alabama fans and watching football together is one of our favorite things to do. My wife and daughters have never been to a game, and I would love to be able to give them that gift while reuniting after another deployment. Thank you so much for your consideration and… Roll Tide!

Hi! My name is Noemi, I am a nurse in the Army. I am currently on a 9-month deployment in the Middle East. When I return I would like to take my family to Disney World for Christmas. They have been very strong and supportive while I have been away, and I would like to give them a family trip of a lifetime. We have always wanted to go to Disney during the holiday season, and I would really like to spend some quality family time in the happiest place on earth. My family would enjoy this trip after being away from each other for 9-months. If you are able to help with park tickets it would be extremely helpful. Thank you so much!

My name is Bradley. I’ve served in the Army for 17 years now. I’ve been stationed in Germany and deployed on combat rotations twice. Just got back from a 10 month deployment to Poland in Oct of 24. I’m married to an amazing wife named Courtney and we have four children together. My family and I have been dreaming of the day to go to Disney World. Unfortunately we haven’t had the time or money so it’s been delayed again and again.

I am currently on my second deployment. I am currently in Europe and have been here for about 6 months now. I’ll be returning home soon in a few months and I would like to surprise my husband to a Steeler’s game. The Steeler’s are his favorite team and I would love to share a moment with him when I get home. We could really use some time to reconnect and do something special with each other after so much time apart.

My Name is Brandon. I am Senior Chief Petty Officer in the Navy. I have been serving for a total of 12 years in the US Navy and I just returned from and 8 month deployment with the USS Carney. I have 3 children ages 6, 4, and 1 with my wife of 13 years. The only thing my children asked for when I returned was to go to Disney World for their first time. This was a really hard deployment for my family seeing my command on the news everyday for the amount of combat we were in, being that this was the first deployment where my oldest has really known what was going on and really struggled in school with it. I want to also give my wife a nice vacation as she has sacrificed so much over the years because of my service and taking care of all of the children by herself while I was gone with no support. I am super proud of my family for staying so strong and I would like to surprise them with this visit. I am requesting a total of 4-four day tickets to Walt Disney World with park hopper, a memory maker pass for the trip, and genie+ pass in (Orlando) Florida for 2 adults and 2 children.

My name is Stephen and I was in the Army from 2006-2013. During my deployment in 2011, my friend was killed and I was injured in an IED explosion. He is buried at Arlington National Cemetery and I am taking my family out to visit him In December. Since I have gotten out I have coached youth baseball (8-18 years old) for 12 years. I have taught middle school and high school for 5 years and I am a currently full time middle school math teacher. I got married in 2021, and I have two kids; a boy who is 12 and a girl who will 2 in November. I would love the opportunity to also take my son and my dad to the Army Navy Football game Dec 12 at Northwest Stadium.

I’m married to my high school sweetheart, Marie (14 years married) and together we have two children, Elodie (7 years old) and Gabriel (3 years old). I've been in the military for 14 years, a majority of the time being in MARSOC as a Marine Special Ops Operator. For my 5th and most recent deployment in April of 2023 I was Force Mobilized to Iraq with NATO. Due to sourcing issues for a replacement, I was extended three times to make a six months turn into a one year deployment overseas! Over the year, I’ve missed birthdays and holidays alike, especially when the kids were hoping for me to be “home by their birthdays!” As I look to come home and reconnect with my family after one year apart, I’m wishing to take my family to Disney World. Having time together would be a blessing and opportunity to help make up for all the time lost while I was in Iraq. My kids and wife have been so strong thinking I would be home soon and to be disappointed to find the deployment was extended 3 times for a total of a year. I would love to be able to surprise the kids with this. Thank you so much for your consideration and hopeful support. As we say in the Marine Raiders, “Never above you, never below you, always beside you.”

Hero's Wish Feedback
MSG (RET) Roger Daniels says:
I would like to personally thank all of the great people who have donated to my Hero's Wish. It is because of people like you and VET TIX that keeps us knowing that we are not forgotten. This event was the first one I have been to since being severely injured and losing my men on 22 April 2011. I had one of the best times of my life. I would like for the special people who have donated and VET TIX to know that you have a special place in my heart. My spirit has been lifted, I realized that life doesn't have to be stuck in the house isolated. All of you were apart of this and hopefully it touches your hearts as much as it touched mine. Thank you and may GOD bless you all.
Luis says:
On behalf of my family, we wish to express our heartfelt THANK YOU to all those who helped make our Hero's Wish a reality. The experience we had attending Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was remarkable and will be something my kids will remember for a long time. Even though we're big Harry Potter fans, attending this play on Broadway would not have happened without the generosity of all the donors and VetTix. While in NYC, we also took time to visit the 9/11 Memorial and the Intrepid Museum which helped my kids better understand the many ways in which we can serve our communities. Special thanks to: Patrick, Margaret, Ann Marie, Montie, Kenneth, Menahem and Tania in Honor of John A. ("LJ") Chambers II, Chasitty, James, Wilson, Margaret in Honor of Robert Tollefson, and all those donors who chose to remain anonymous. You generosity is much appreciated...thank you!
Shelbi says:
This past week my family and I traveled down to Orlando and visited Walt Disney World. Our experience was once in a lifetime and truly magical. We were able to make so many memories and reconnect on so many levels. This trip will be talked about for years to come. Seeing the smiles and excitement in my family brought tears to my eyes and joy to my heart. I can't thank the 8 donors and Vet Tix foundation enough for providing us with this trip. None of this would have been possible without you. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity! When we think of this trip we will also remember you amazing people that made it possible. I wish the world had more people like you in it! Thank you, The Bear Family!!!
Troy says:
In 2004, I suffered a severe head injury from an accident that resulted from chronic fatigue doing the mission. I thought I was going to die, but after I survived, I gained a better appreciation for taking time for family and living in the present. Last summer VetTix generously supported my family with a trip to Disneyland after a one year deployment and enroute to an overseas assignment. After 6 deployments, my family was able to take a vacation that we will never forget! It was especially special for my 2 children that suffer from social disorders. I am a regular supporter to charities like this, but none has impressed me as much as VetTix. They have a permanent spot in my CFC contributions portfolio and I will never forget what they did for my family. Thank you to all of you that joined VetTix in supporting our wish!
Mariah says:
I want to thank the Veteran Tickets Foundation and all of my 11 donors for making one of dad's biggest dreams come true! I made this wish without my dad's knowledge and my family and I surprised him with the tickets. He was so surprised and I have never seen him so excited! We had the best Christmas Eve we could have ever imagined and made memories that we will cherish forever. My dad was even given an autographed ball from one of the Chiefs players who heard about his wish! Because of all of you, my dad was able to get the best send off he could before deploying to Afghanistan. He says that he's already planning our next trip to KC for when he comes home! We are all so appreciative and grateful for your support and for making this happen for my dad and our family. This experience really meant so much to us and we cannot thank you all enough..Thank you!!!!! - The Blanco Family
