Current Hero's Wishes
I’m married to my high school sweetheart, Marie (14 years married) and together we have two children, Elodie (7 years old) and Gabriel (3 years old). I've been in the military for 14 years, a majority of the time being in MARSOC as a Marine Special Ops Operator. For my 5th and most recent deployment in April of 2023 I was Force Mobilized to Iraq with NATO. Due to sourcing issues for a replacement, I was extended three times to make a six months turn into a one year deployment overseas! Over the year, I’ve missed birthdays and holidays alike, especially when the kids were hoping for me to be “home by their birthdays!” As I look to come home and reconnect with my family after one year apart, I’m wishing to take my family to Disney World. Having time together would be a blessing and opportunity to help make up for all the time lost while I was in Iraq. My kids and wife have been so strong thinking I would be home soon and to be disappointed to find the deployment was extended 3 times for a total of a year. I would love to be able to surprise the kids with this. Thank you so much for your consideration and hopeful support. Hello, my name is Nick. I am a 17 year Army Soldier, husband, and father to two wonderful children. I am currently deployed to the Middle East. While this is my third deployment for the military, this is my first as a Dad. Back home, I live the somewhat cliche tale of a full-time Sheriff Deputy married to an elementary school teacher. My wife and I both have a passion for serving others, but this trip is far different with my wife taking on so much of the burden. By the time all is done and I am finally home, my family will have been apart for over 13 months out of a 16 month period. I would like nothing more than to take my 8 year old and 5 year old for a trip to Disney World to celebrate finally being a family again and to thank them for letting their Dad go help others while I could. My name is Michelle. Roughly one month ago, I returned home to the states from a nine month overseas deployment. The length of time being away became slightly more stressful for me and our family once my eldest son decided to join the military as well, leaving his daughter (my grand-daughter) to rely solely on her mother and extended family members (when possible) to care for her. My grand-daughter is three years old and although I hope in due time she'll understand her father and I commitments, I'd like to make a wish to be able to take her on a Disney World Trip in order to spend some quality time with her and reestablish our bond. Her and I are close but it seems slightly different now as she would inquire as to where I was for so long, especially when she would go to my house prior to her dad shipping off. I'd really appreciate being granted this grand wish either as a late birthday gift to her [early October she'll be 4 yrs. old] or an early Christmas gift since we were not together last holiday season, thank you!

I have just returned from deployment as I was overseas for the past 10 months I learned how difficult it is to be without those you love, and also learned to lean on my soldiers. It was difficult 10 months being in the Middle East, I have gone through both emotional and physical challenges that have turned me into the strong person I am. I have grown, and changes a lot but music kept me going. Sharing music with the person I love the most who stuck by me is truly my biggest dream, I wish to experience the Eagles with the person that stuck by through this deployment. The tickets themselves alone are an expense that would be alleviated as I would cover for travel and stay since I am originally from Texas. Any help is appreciated, considering my transition as a whole has been difficult it is genuinely something that would help me financially as well as give a breather after being gone for so long

Hello, my name is Robert Velazquez. I'm an Army Veteran and Purple Heart Recipient. I deployed to Afghanistan in 2011 where I sustained my injuries from an IED. After coming home, I joined the Texas National Guard while going to school, however, eventually decided to leave the military behind me. I served for 6 years combined. As many veterans do, I faced several challenges, both mentally and physically. But I met my now wife, Rocio, who was and has been my number one support system through it all. We have been together for 11 years, married for eight, and have two beautiful children, Penelope (5) and Lucas (2). They are my purpose and mean everything to me. I know I can't give them everything they deserve, but I try to give them the best version of myself every single day. This year, my wife and I had multiple conversations about taking our kids to Disneyland, but the chances of us going got slimmer by the day. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we won't be able to go. I'm not one to ask for help, just ask my wife. However, I am now turning to VETTIX and the Hero's Wish Program in hopes that my wish to surprise my family with (3) 2-Day Tickets to Disneyland & California Adventure Park can be granted. Hello! My name is Maksym, I'm a SFC of the US army and I'm currently deployed to the Middle East. This year me and my wife should be celebrating our 10 years of marriage and even though I will be away I would love to take her along with my 2 daughters Mia and Melissa to the Disney World in Orlando once I return form the deployment in Dec 2024. Mia would be so happy to visit a Harry Potter attractions there and Melissa is all about princesses. In 2004, I suffered a severe head injury from an accident that resulted from chronic fatigue doing the mission. I thought I was going to die, but after I survived, I gained a better appreciation for taking time for family and living in the present. Last summer VetTix generously supported my family with a trip to Disneyland after a one year deployment and enroute to an overseas assignment. After 6 deployments, my family was able to take a vacation that we will never forget! It was especially special for my 2 children that suffer from social disorders. I am a regular supporter to charities like this, but none has impressed me as much as VetTix. They have a permanent spot in my CFC contributions portfolio and I will never forget what they did for my family. Thank you to all of you that joined VetTix in supporting our wish!

Dear VetTix and Gracious Donors, Thank you so much for granting my wish! It was exactly what the family and I needed to disconnect with the stressors of life and reconnect with each other. I never thought that I would ever be able to take my children to Disney World. Thanks to your generous contributions, I was able to do just that. My kids and I had an amazing time at the most magical place on earth and there's no better season to visit Disney World than right before Christmas. The experience was nothing like I could ever imagine, it was far more than I ever expected. The park was breathtaking, as it was decorated so beautifully. Going to the park allowed us to create memories that will last a life time. Growing up, my family was never able to afford taking me and my brothers to Disney World or Disneyland and I wanted to be able to do things for my children that my family was never able to do for me. I want to help give them the opportunity to grow, travel and experience things that were unattainable for me at my young age. All of which is part of the reason I joined the military, to have a better life than I did, to work hard to remove some of the barriers that made growing up with a single parent, incredibly challenging. You all made it possible for me take my family and as an added bonus, I was able to pay all costs to surprise my mother with the trip as well. My mother has always dreamed of going to Disney World and as mentioned before, she never had the means to make it possible. With careful coordination with her medical care providers, she was approved for the trip and was able to receive treatment just minutes from the park. The trip was not only a surprise for my mother, but for the kids as well. Upon returning from deployment, I spent months trying to conceal my excitement for the surprise of a lifetime. There are no words to truly express how thankful I am for all the donors that made this wish possible for me and my family. This incredible opportunity is one I'm sure we will never forget. My daughter Carson got to meet almost all of the princesses, and my son loved riding all of the rides. Without all of your help we would have never been able to go.
