Current Hero's Wishes
Hello, my name is Robert Velazquez. I'm an Army Veteran and Purple Heart Recipient. I deployed to Afghanistan in 2011 where I sustained my injuries from an IED. After coming home, I joined the Texas National Guard while going to school, however, eventually decided to leave the military behind me. I served for 6 years combined. As many veterans do, I faced several challenges, both mentally and physically. But I met my now wife, Rocio, who was and has been my number one support system through it all. We have been together for 11 years, married for eight, and have two beautiful children, Penelope (5) and Lucas (2). They are my purpose and mean everything to me. I know I can't give them everything they deserve, but I try to give them the best version of myself every single day. This year, my wife and I had multiple conversations about taking our kids to Disneyland, but the chances of us going got slimmer by the day. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we won't be able to go. I'm not one to ask for help, just ask my wife. However, I am now turning to VETTIX and the Hero's Wish Program in hopes that my wish to surprise my family with (3) 2-Day Tickets to Disneyland & California Adventure Park can be granted. Fulfilled or not, I appreciate what VETTIX and all Donors do for our military community. You have a much bigger impact than you realize. Thank you greatly for your consideration. Sgt. V.

My name is Stephen. I have been in the Army since 2016. While I have been deployed, my wife has been doing a fantastic job keeping up with those young rascals. Aren’t those the cutest little future soldiers you’ve ever seen? After six months of deployment, I would love to take all five of us to “the Happiest Place on Earth“ with 4-day Park Hopper Plus tix … and see some big smiles. As always, we are proud to be part of the world’s greatest Army.

Hello Everyone! My name is Bryan, and I just came back from a 6-month deployment to Kuwait. Our family was separated from each other during all major holidays and birthdays. My wife has sacrificed just as much, if not more than I have, by sacrificing her career for us to be active duty. I would really like to be able to take my family to Disneyland as a special treat to thank my family for the sacrifice they have also given. Thank you for all of your help in advance!

My name is Cory Smith and I have been in the Army for 9 years. I am currently on a deployment in Central America. I have been married to my wife for 9 years and we have two amazing kids, a 4 year old daughter and a 3 year old son. This is the first deployment we have gone through and the longest we have ever been apart. My kids have sacrificed so much and my wife has been my greatest supporter. She has held our family together while I've been gone and has taken it in stride. I have missed some major milestones, birthdays, and holidays and would love to surprise my family with a 3 day Universal Studios and Volcano Bay trip with fast passes. This trip would be an opportunity to make up for all the memories I missed out on creating. And most importantly, this would be a great token of appreciation to my wife and kids for their endless support. Thank you for your consideration and all of your support!

Hello my name is Angel. I have been serving in the Army for 15 years. 8 of them were active while the rest in the reserves. I am currently deployed in Iraq and at the tail end of my tour and would love to take my wife and 15 year old son to a surprise visit to six flags. This is my 3rd overseas tour and second combat deployment. During my career in the military I have missed numerous important events including multiple birthdays, anniversaries, and accomplishments. I would love to show my family how much I appreciate them and a fun trip filled with adrenaline rides. Especially to build a tighter bond with my son who had to endure my absence numerous times due to mission requirements and schooling. I appreciate you all for reading

Hi, I'm Jeremy. I'm a psychologist in the Air Force and currently at Al Dhafra Air Base. Out here, I'm responsible for the psychological health of around 2000 Soldiers, Airmen, and Marines. I'm also fortunate to lead a team of expeditionary medics, who respond at all hours to medical emergencies. It's both a privilege and meaningful work. Even so, my family could use me at home, and when I finally get there, I'd like to make the reunion special. Your help will make it possible. It was nearly my worst fear. A month after deploying, my home flooded, and my family was displaced. I was and am unable to do much to support them, while the four of them live in a small hotel room awaiting the repairs to be done ...and me to come home. Right now, my children wouldn't even have books or teddy bears if I hadn't been able to send them after they were moved out of the house. I want to do something to surprise them -- something we couldn't do without *your* help. I'd like to get these kids to Disneyland.

My name is Bradley. I’ve served in the Army for 17 years now. I’ve been stationed in Germany and deployed on combat rotations twice. Just got back from a 10 month deployment to Poland in Oct of 24. I’m married to an amazing wife named Courtney and we have four children together. My family and I have been dreaming of the day to go to Disney World. Unfortunately we haven’t had the time or money so it’s been delayed again and again.

Hi, I am Matt, a severely wounded combat veteran of OEF. I lost my right leg to an IED in 2010 in Afghanistan. Though my scars may not be fresh, the wounds have endured. I suffer from PTSD, TBI, and more complications due to the amputation. My wife and I are a family of 8, with 5 boys and 1 girl. A trip for all 8 of us is something we can only dream of. We know that a wish like this would be one that every member of our family would cherish for the rest of their lives. This is a humble request for the once in a lifetime chance for our family of 8 to go on a memorable trip together, create some core memories and enjoy the magic of Disney. For our children, aged 13 to 3, this would be a once in a lifetime experience.

Hello all, My name is Josh. I’ve served in the Air Force for 15 years, with the last five years working as a Program Manager. I am married to my best friend for almost 16 years and we were blessed with four wonderful kids, two girls and two boys, ranging in age from 14 to seven. I am currently deployed to the Middle East while my family serves back home to keep the ship afloat, so to speak. This deployment has asked a lot of the five of them over the past several months and I wanted to express my gratitude to them for going above and beyond, especially my wife, who is the embodiment of servant leadership while I’ve been away. My wife loves to share experiences as a family, and my kids love superhero’s and Harry Potter, so it would be great to treat the four kids to a 3 day Universal Studios - Orlando trip. After being away from each other for so long - missing birthdays, holidays, and first days of high school - sharing this moment together as a family would be a much appreciated time of refocus and reinvigoration. Thank you for your consideration and for all that you do in support of the veterans!

Good Day, I pray that this humble request finds you well. I am asking for 4 Tickets with Fast passes and Park hopper to Universal Studios/Island of Adventure in Orlando, Florida. I am currently on a 6-month deployment to the Middle East that will require me to miss birthdays, dances, recitals, and karate events for my 2 girls and one boy, aged 12,11, and 9. I would like to be able to take them on this trip as an apology for missing these very important times in there lives while I'm serving the people of our great country, and use this to celebrate them and make memories to go along with the one's I will dearly miss. Thank you for taking the time to consider my request and have a blessed day.

KELLY says:
Thank you so much to Stage 3 Motorsports, Vet Tix and the other donors who made this possible. Seeing Michael Jackson ONE was awesome! Our kids LOVED the music, the acrobats, and the dancing. Seeing their faces light up with smiles and happiness the whole show was rewarding in itself! They even had a hologram of Michael towards the end, and it was a bittersweet realization that he really is gone and this was the closest thing we'd get to see him in concert. We're beyond blessed to have such amazing supporters of military like you guys. I'm forever grateful that I got to take my family somewhere as a thank you for their hard work and support during my deployment. Thank you guys so much!

Lara says:
My 2 children and I want to say a big thank you to Vet Tix, and to all of the donors who helped make our wish come true. We had an amazing time at Disney World. My daughter Carson got to meet almost all of the princesses, and my son loved riding all of the rides. Without all of your help we would have never been able to go. It was such an amazing experience and I loved seeing the huge smiles on my kids faces. I can not possibly thank all of you enough.

Henry says:
I like to thank Vet Tix and the people who donated though the Hero's Wish program. Especially The NY Yankees For the great seats I had for Myself and my family. They treated me special. This program shows Veterans that people do care about us. It made me feel good I also met a great friend at the game who helped make this dream come true thanks Joe. It will be a long time before I can forget this day I got to see my favorite player Derek Jeter play and the NY Yankees won what more can you ask for thank you Vet Tix.

Raquel says:
When I made this wish, my intention was to facilitate my reunion with my children after almost a year of separation. However, I now realize that it holds greater significance as it coincides with major life events: my eldest child graduating high school, embarking on the journey of adulthood, and my own transition from military service to new identities and chapters. Thank you for the opportunity to reconnect with my family during these significant moments in our lives.

Brandon says:
Thank you so much to Vet Tix and the generous donors for the tickets to Disney World! We had such a great time and made a lot of great memories as a family. This was our first time getting to go on any kind of trip with my boys, Olivia's stepsons, so it was all 5 of us and was awesome watching all 3 kids have a magical time together! None of us but Olivia had ever been to FL and probably never would have been able to if it hadn't been for this! Thanks so much again!
