Penny from the 1970’s TV show “Good Times” has always been my favorite of all the Jacksons and No, her first name ain't baby, It's Janet... Ms. Jackson, if you're nasty. The Missus and I have seen two previous tours of Janet Jackson, albeit more than twenty years ago and she has always put on elaborate stage shows. Now at 58, her vocals were still pretty good and boy she can still dance like she hasn’t missed a beat. The Together Again setlist was about 40 or so songs broken up into IV Acts and an Encore set where she had a costume change in between each Act. The songs included a majority of her top hits which spanned from her breakthrough album “Control”, “Rhythm Nation 1814”, “Janet”, “The Velvet Rope” and “All For You”. She even performed “Scream” a song in which she collaborated with her late brother Michael in 1995 for “HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I”. Nelly started the night off bringing down the house and had the TD Garden pumping with hits like “E.I.”, “Ride Wit Me”, “Dilemma”, “Hot In Herre” and a mashup song which included covers of Flo Rida’s “Low” & DMX’s “Party Up (Up in Here)”. He expressed much love to the crowd for welcoming fellow St. Louis native and friend Jayson Tatum to the Celtics who helped lead and win the NBA Championship for a record 18th NBA title for Boston. The wife and I were looking forward to this event because we remembered how much we enjoyed our previous times attending one of Janet's shows and it was all made possible by the generosity of Live Nation for donating the tickets and provided by Vet Tix. Thank you so much for making our night out one to remember.
