I wanted to send a sincere thank you to the University of Alabama Athletics for donating the tickets that allowed two veterans (my father a Vietnam veteran and myself an Iraq veteran). My father has never been to a college or professional football game. This was a blessing for us, as his wife and my stepmother died six months ago and has been a real struggle for him. To make things harder, I am leaving him to go back to Iraq this month. You gave us a day to remember, a day to forget about the worries of the world. You gave two vets, father and son the memories of a lifetime. I will forever be grateful to your program. You brought light to my father's darkest time.
