While I thank the University for the opportunity given for veterans to see them game against Stanford, I was unfortunately unable to attend the game after it was rescheduled. The game was played Dec 1 when I had training for the National Guard.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the University of california-berkeley Athletics for donating the four tickets to see the great University of Stanford beat down Cal. I have taken some classes at Stanford and work at the veterans resource center with another individual. My wife and I and two friends who happened to be Cal Berkeley alumni and retired military got to enjoy the game we had a window of no rain thank goodness and we really enjoyed ourselves. Hi, thank you for the tickets. It's great to see such an intense but still very respectable rivalry in a college football game. The game was a nail biter for the first half then my team, Stanford took control! My son, a Cal graduate, was with me at the event. So I got not only bragging rights but a free dinner, as well! Although the Bears came up short we had a wonderful day enjoying the rivalry game and all the festivities that went along with it. Memorial Stadium is a fantastic place and a real treat for fans to enjoy football and the venue. Thank you again!
