Past Hero's Wishes
I served three tours in Iraq with the Army's Third Infantry Division, and Desert Storm/Shield in the Marines. I was medically retired in February 2010 after a run in with an IED. At Walter Reed, I was diagnosed with Traumatic Brain Injury to include cognitive disorder & difficulty with balance, Post Traumatic Migraine headaches, Herniated disc L5-S1, Patellofemoral syndrome, Tinnitus, Lower left & right extremity Polyneuropathy and left ear hearing loss. I spent the next 26 months in a Warrior Transition Unit receiving physical, speech, occupational, balance, and TBI therapies. My family loves NASCAR, each has their own favorite driver. We watch NASCAR on T.V. every weekend and I’ve been told Daytona is something you have to experience at least once in your life so this is what we want to experience together. My Hero’s Wish is to take my family to the Daytona 500 on 20 February 2011 so my family can experience something memorable together.

Thank You Message from the Hero:
I wanted to thank VetTix and the Daytona International Speedway. On behave of my family and I for the tickets and fan zone passes to the 53 Daytona 500. We had a blast, and will have memories to last a lifetime. thank you again for the opportunity for my family and I to enjoy a once in a life time experience.

I served 18 years in the Army and was medically discharged in May 2006 after I spent 18 months in Iraq in support of OIF. I have been diagnosed with PTSD, peripheral neuropathy, hearing loss and TBI with severe headaches. I recently had an MRI done and was told my brain & nervous system are deteriorating...gulf war syndrome. I will go through stages beginning with memory loss to dementia/Alzheimer's to nothing. The PTSD makes it difficult to show feelings….haven't been much of a husband in the past 5 years. My wife is my everything. Now we don't have a lot of time left together so we want to make memories. My only memory of NASCAR was the Daytona 500 in 2004...I was deployed watching the race on AFN. On lap 100 we were attacked and a rocket exploded near me. I was tossed like a rag doll and when I woke I had blood running down my face and shrapnel in my head. My wife grew up in the south and has been around racing all her life. She always said Daytona is something you have to experience in person at least once in your life. So this is what we want to experience together. My Hero’s Wish is to walk on the track and see a real pit road, maybe get a picture or an autograph or two. This will be a memory that I hope we will keep us going when the going gets tough.

Thank You Message from the Hero:
I want to say thank you very much. Eddie thanks alot for everything you did. What you all do you will never know what it means to some. Faith and I had one of the greatest times of our lives. You allowed us to go into the pits, sign the start finish line before the race, and most importantly my wife and I smiled for the first time since we dont know when. My wife took tons of pictures so I could remember what you all allowed us to do. I can't expressed what a great time we had. Thank you all so very much. Paul and Faith

I don't really feel comfortable asking this, but since it is more for my wife I am going to anyway. I will be returning from my 5th deployment this month and wanted to treat my wife to a great night out for all she has done and dealt with while I have been out of the country, again. And what is better than listening to two of the greatest country singers of all time - Reba and George Strait. It would be a dream to get to see Reba sing in person. And to find that she will be in my home state a month after getting home and touring with George Strait, I just hope you can find a way to make this dream come true for my wife and I. Thanks for listening and thanks for all you do to give Vets a chance to have a time of well deserved fun for them and their families!!

I just wanted to say thanks for all you did to make this a great night. Not only was the show (Lee Ann Womack, Reba McEntire, and George Strait) a great show, I found a way to have a meet and greet with Lee Ann Womack and got some autographs. We just want to say thanks again and would do all we can to support your efforts. Feel free to let us know if there is anything we can do to further your efforts, besides telling everyone like we do already.

I am a combat wounded veteran who was injured by a grenade while serving a 14month deployment in Iraq back in 2003. I am also service connected for a back injury and a few other disabilities. My wish is to attend an Andrea Bocelli concert with my Wife On Valentines Day here in Florida. I would really love to give this present to my wife for helping and understanding and being by my side thru everything. My wife is a Captain in the Air Force and has served for 5 years. We have been married now for 4 years and have a Baby Boy on the way which is due in April 2011. We are both very Huge Fans of Andrea Bocelli and I would just love to attend this concert on Valentines Day with my wife. It would be the greatest for both of us. Thank you

My wife and I have wanted to see Andrea Bocelli for the longest time. Thank you again for making my wish come true. I also wanted to thank Vet Tix for all the hard work they do to make our wishes come true. Thank you all.

I am currently deployed in Afghanistan, but will be returning from my tour mid-January! Like most Soldiers, I have been deployed 27 months over the last 54 months. It has been hard on my wife and myself, but it has been really hard on my 8 y/o daughter Kylee. When I have been home we play basketball together and she attended her first basketball camp last summer! I would really like to take her to her first NBA game when I return. I am stationed in Colorado, so the Nuggets are our hometown team. I selected a game I would like to take her to, but any Denver Nugget game after 21 January would be nice.

Well where to start? I guess I will just put it out there.. I would love to take my family of 6 to Disneyland for a day or 2 to see everything but we just can not afford to do it on our own. My wife and I are from California and grew up being able to go to Disneyland often but we are just not able to do this for our kids. I was wounded in 2005 while serving in the Army and have had a hard time walking and standing for a long period of time. So this has been the other part of the problem as there is a lot of walking so it would be nice if we can get 2 day passes so that we can experience the whole park and if I need to rest my leg I can. I know this is a long shot but I figured I will try and see what happens. Thank you for your time and please help us to take our kids to the "Happiest place on earth."

It has always been a dream of mine to get my wife and I and my brother and his wife together for a basketball game. My brother and I dont have the greatest of a relationship, but over the last year while I have been deployed we have started to bond more than we ever have. My brother is a huge Heat fan and my wife and I are big Magic Fans. I think it would be awsome if we had the chance to get together and watch a game as both of our teams battle. I really would enjoy this and I'm sure my brother would appreciate it as well

My name is SGT Nathan Siebach and I'm writing this wish on behalf of myself and five other soldiers in my unit. We are currently at our mob station at Ft. McCoy, WI in preparation for a 12 month deployment to Afghanistan and have watched the end of the NFL season with great angst and excitement as three of us are avid Packers fans and the other three die hard bears fans. The fact that this game is a possibility this year has brought on massive amounts of trash talking from each side. By some miracle we have one break in our training schedule which happens to be from the 23rd thru the 26th of Jan. The 23rd being a possible date for the NFC Championship game. We realize that a few stars need to align before this would even be a possibility, such as both teams winning their divisional playoff games this weekend (which both sets of fans are confident will happen) and then the NFC championship game actually being scheduled on the 23rd. We can provide our own transportation and lodging to/from the game and are asking for any seats to the game. To be able to go to Soldier Stadium and witness such a game right before leaving for our deployment would be one of the greatest gifts ever. Many thanks to any and all who could make such a miracle dream wish come true and give three soldiers total bragging rights for the upcoming year in Afghanistan over their fellow soldiers. Thank you, *cough*gobears*cough

Thank You Message from the Hero:
Dear Vet Tickets and Contributors - Just wanted to say thanks soooo much for making it possible for us to go to the game. We had a blast, even if the Bears lost *sigh*. Because it was an early afternoon game we drove down early from Ft. McCoy, WI and stopped by Wrigley field before heading to the stadium. The seats were amazing, and even saw Terry Bradshaw right in front of us after the game. On the way back we stopped at Giordanos for saw awesome Chicago deep dish pizza. Even though the upcoming year in Afghanistan will be full of relentless packer fan gloating, we would not have traded this experience for anything. Thanks again to vet tix and this wonderful program. My wife, Lara, has wanted desperately to see the musical Wicked ever since it came out. I have wanted to take her to see it, but the last time I planned to, I was deployed to Kuwait. Then we had twins and the likelihood of us going after that severely diminished. Lara has been a good sport about it, and a wonderful mother to my daughters. I am now in Afghanistan, but I would like to surprise my wife and take her to see Wicked at the Gershwin Theatre when I get back from my deployment. I know that it is a lot to ask, but I wanted to give her the best seats available, since it will probably be the only time we are ever able to make it. I was planning on taking her roughly 12 January 2011.

I wanted to thank Chris from TN and Eddy from Vettix for allowing me to take my wife to this amazing show. Not only was Eddy able to hook us up with awesome seats, he also set us up for a backstage tour after the show were they told us how they do their magic. My wife even got to hold many of the props for the show, and we even ran into Mandy Gonzalez (Elphaba in the show). It was a night to remember, and I am so very grateful for the opportunity that Vettix gave me to share this with my wife. I appreciate what you have done for this soldier, as well as all you do for all of us that serve. Thank you again!

My name is SGT Roland Gutierrez, and I am currently deployed in Iraq. But I will be home soon, very soon. I hope that someone can fulfill my wish to go the the final game of the NFL season; the Chiefs vs. Raiders on January 2nd. I would love to take my family to go see the Chiefs play before the football season ends. After I come back from Iraq, I will have to report the Germany and my new duty station for 3 years. So this will be my last chance to go to an NFL game for a while. Thank you for considering/donating tickets to me and my family.

Thank You Message from the Hero:
I would like to thank the Kansas City Chiefs staff and players for making myself and my family wish come true. It was a very memorable moment, and I couldn't of asked for a better gift. That weekend was the only time we all could be together, and what better way to the day together than to watch the Chiefs play! I want to also thank Vet Tix for making this all happen. Without the selflessness of everyone involved with Vet Tix, none of this would be possible. God Bless our troops, Vet Tix, the Chiefs and the USA!!!!
