Past Hero's Wishes
Hello, I am MSgt Douglas McGraw & have served in the USAF for 22+ years. I'm the 3rd generation of my family who's been proud to have served our great nation. My Grandfather was a WWII Battle of the Bulge and Dachau concentration camp liberator, my father who served in the 82nd Airborne from Dominican Republic, Air Cavalry in Vietnam 65 LZ X-ray and then finally the Gulf War in the Air National Guard. I myself have just returned from a 1yr deployment to Kandahar Afghanistan as an Advisor to the Afghan Air Force working daily side by side with my Afghan counterparts. I am married to my wife for 22yrs and been together for 24years. We have 2 grown children. This has been my 5th career contingency deployment among countless other times spent away from my wife who has been by my side faithfully for longer than my military career. The past year saw high stress and even family member death affect our whole family but our marriage in particular suffered. My wife and I have always been in unity in putting our children's needs above our own, to the point of signing over my GI bill to our children. Additionally while in Afghanistan I adopted a stray dog that strayed onto our end of the flight line in Kandahar that has made the transition back to daily stateside life a bit stressful. My deep felt wish is to surprise my wife and take her on that long overdue fun filled vacation to show her and my girls how much I appreciate their support. If anyone is able to help bless us, I wish to take them on a 4 day Disneyland park hopper pass. It's not enough to simply say thank you for the honor of having my heroes wish granted. We are indebted to the sponsors and Vettix for allowing our family the opportunity to make happy memories at Disneyland that will last a lifetime. Disneyland is truly the happiest place on earth! Hopefully someday we will be in the position to help someone else as you have helped us. We were especially fortunate as Disney had just begun the Maxpass deal and we got wonderful professional photos with Groot, Darth Vader and Chewbacca in particular. The icing on the cake for us was attending the flag retreat ceremony at the town square. I had the increadible honor of being given the Disneyland challenge coin which truly is something I will treasure. Hello my name is SSG Imelda Alaimaleata. I am proudly serving in the Army. I am currently deployed in Djibouti, Africa for 6 months, and I should be redeploying in July. This is my very first deployment, and so far this is the hardest, especially leaving behind my kids and spouse. Being away from family is one of the hardest things in life. As a soldier, this is the norm, because we would always be gone - whether it be deploying, attending schools, or in training. My wish is to take my family of four to Disneyland this July. I want to spend our family time and the remainder of summer at Disneyland before my kids go back to school. Also since I will be missing out on their birthdays this year. I want to make it up to my family! I would really appreciate it if you would help me and my family fulfill this wish. Thank you all & God Bless!!

Hi ! My name is MSgt Ayshah Tual, I have been serving in the Air Force for 16 years now and I am currently Deployed to an Undisclosed location in the Middle East. I will be home in a few weeks after being away from my Family for 7 months. This Deployment has been really hard especially being a mom but even harder on my two Children. I have missed my daughters first day of Kindergarten, Halloween, my sons 11th Birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and several school events that my kids are involved in including my sons first school dance. Being away from my children has been the hardest thing I've ever had to do . To try and make up for all the missed Birthdays and Holidays I would like to take my Family to their first Broadway show , to see The Lion King . For my Hero's wish I would like to request (4) Tickets for my family and I to attend the June 10th showing at the Minskoff Theatre.

My name is Joshua Morcom. After a long, grueling deployment in the Middle East on-board the USS Monterey, I would love to take some time and reconnect with my wife and children, and let them enjoy something special. I missed the birth of my son during the deployment and would love to be able to make it up to him. I have four little girls that are infatuated with all things Disney. I would love to grant their wish for them. Unfortunately, being a large family, big vacations are extremely rare. Please help me make this a reality for my family! I would need a larger number of tickets than what is normally needed (6 total tickets). My son is still well under the age of needing a ticket. My name is Spc Stefan Zaldivar. I am currently serving on my second deployment away from my family and this one has been particularly hard on my wife and my three year old son as they have had to do everything on their own. My amazing wife has had to come mom, dad, driver, soccer coach, class teacher, on top of doing everything in the home on her own. Unable to take vacation because she took the time of to help me mobilize she is running on zero days off with a house two dogs and a toddler who is very confused as to why his daddy has had to miss Father's Day, His Birthday, Halloween, Thanksgiving, as well as this upcoming Christmas and other holidays. I am asking for 4 4-day park hopper tickets to allow me to repay my family for sacrificing so much while I have been gone and it getting these tickets it may help offset the cost to allow me to have them stay in a nice hotel and allow me to give them the magical experience that they deserve.

My name is Rachel Gillette and I am the proud daughter of Col. Stephen Scott. My father, Col. Scott gave the ultimate sacrifice to our country on April 6, 2008 while defending our country in Bagdad, Iraq. Col. Stephen Scott served in the Army for almost 30 years and was a true American Hero who is greatly missed every day. I am an older surviving child and I do not qualify for any of the trips that are offered for children and I have always felt like I am alone in my journey as I continue to heal. One of my most memorable trips that I took as a young child with my dad was to Disney World in Orlando, Florida and I would be grateful for the opportunity to take my 4 children on a surprise family vacation. As we all know, Disney World is costly and I have already contacted Shades of Green for our lodging and they are able to offer us a discounted rate as we are a Gold Star family. Our wish is for 6 four day park hopper passes. My family is so proud of our hero and would be overjoyed to take a trip together to create memories and remember our HERO Col. Stephen Scott. My name is SSgt Wallace Fanene. I was injured by an IED while walking on patrol in a small Iraqi village. As a result of the blast I lost my right leg and right arm and after being deployed for over a year, I found myself waking up to the voice of my wife. Life has since been full of ups and downs and with the stress of dealing with my own issues, it is my family that has always been there to keep me grounded. Since recovering from my injuries I've returned to surfing, committed myself to a cross-fit journey, became a college student, revived a life of adventure through the outdoors and found life meaning in raising my two children. Life isn't easy missing two limbs but I thank God everyday for the opportunity to live each day for the people around me. The month of June is a very special month in my family, as we celebrate both the birthday of my youngest child as well as my own birthday. My wish is to take my family to Disneyland. I hope you choose to support our wish and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

My name is Lt Col Troy Dupont. I have served in the Air Force for 19 years and spent over three of them on deployments. I have just returned from my 5th deployment; a long 1-year separation from my family. Upon redeployment, I received orders to move overseas within 2 months. My wish is for a family vacation to Disneyland in May 2017. I am requesting (6) Park Hopper passes. We are looking to create one last memory in the US and surprise our 4 children (Eli, Evelyn, Emilia, & Edison... the E-team) with a trip to Disneyland before we have to head to port. My family has sacrificed so much over the years, and I am appreciative of any donations provided. The cost of moving overseas is very high and your generosity will truly help us offset the cost of this dream vacation. God bless!

In 2004, I suffered a severe head injury from an accident that resulted from chronic fatigue doing the mission. I thought I was going to die, but after I survived, I gained a better appreciation for taking time for family and living in the present. Last summer VetTix generously supported my family with a trip to Disneyland after a one year deployment and enroute to an overseas assignment. After 6 deployments, my family was able to take a vacation that we will never forget! It was especially special for my 2 children that suffer from social disorders. I am a regular supporter to charities like this, but none has impressed me as much as VetTix. They have a permanent spot in my CFC contributions portfolio and I will never forget what they did for my family. Thank you to all of you that joined VetTix in supporting our wish!

My name is Donna Cutchall. My sons and I lost the greatest man in our lives 12 years ago in Iraq. My sons were 4 and 6 years old when it happened. All of us had talked about making plans to go to Disney World when he got back home, but that never happened. My sons now are 16 and 18 and still to this day want to go. My wish is to take my boys to Disney World. We are unable to go because of my current income. I just lost my sons social security money and lost my job. Out of all the wishes we could request, this one would help us feel more complete. Doing what we would have done if SSGT Christopher Cutchall were still alive.
