Past Hero's Wishes
My name is CPT Frank Johnson. I am currently deployed to Southern Afghanistan in support of Operation Resolute Support. I am a Texas Army National Guard Soldier, and I am a public school educator in my civilian job. This has been a good deployment, and I am proud of the work I've done here. I'm also proud of my wife and my kids for the support they've given me while tackling all of our home issues without me. I love them so much, and I really want to be able to treat them to Disneyland. They don't expect something this great - they just want me back home, but something like this would mean so much to them. Especially after the rough year they've had in my absence. This is my fifth overseas deployment. My family has never been to Disneyland, and taking them there would be a truly wonderful gift. Prior to leaving them, I spent months away on training events in preparation for my deployment. I was mobilized in January of this year, and I will be home in November!

To our generous donors, I want to take this opportunity to thank you on behalf of our family. The time I spent away from them while I was in Afghanistan was difficult for all of us - especially my kids. Your kindness has given me the opportunity to share an experience with my kids that would not have been available otherwise. This week was spent bonding, reuniting, and laughing with my family at the happiest place on earth! Thank you for caring so much for a family you've never met - it truly means the world to us. Frank Johnson and family

I am making this wish for my father, without his knowledge. My father has been serving the Marine Corps for a total of 17 years. He has sacrificed everything for me (his daughter), my family, and this country. I can never repay him for everything he has done, but I can at least try. I want to try by making one of his oldest wishes come true. My father has been a Kansas City Chiefs fan since he was a child and he has always wanted to attend a home game. My father recently received very sudden, involuntary, high-risk orders to Afghanistan for 10 months. This will be his 3rd time in Afghanistan and his 6th deployment overall. Before he is shipped overseas, he will be able to come home for the holidays for 2 weeks. In this time, I want to make his wish come true by surprising him with tickets to the Chiefs game that will take place on Christmas Eve. This would be such a memorable trip for our family and I know this would mean so much to him. My dad is my personal hero and I am trying to do everything in my power to make this happen for him, but I cannot do it alone.

I want to thank the Veteran Tickets Foundation and all of my 11 donors for making one of dad's biggest dreams come true! I made this wish without my dad's knowledge and my family and I surprised him with the tickets. He was so surprised and I have never seen him so excited! We had the best Christmas Eve we could have ever imagined and made memories that we will cherish forever. My dad was even given an autographed ball from one of the Chiefs players who heard about his wish! Because of all of you, my dad was able to get the best send off he could before deploying to Afghanistan. He says that he's already planning our next trip to KC for when he comes home! We are all so appreciative and grateful for your support and for making this happen for my dad and our family. This experience really meant so much to us and we cannot thank you all enough..Thank you!!!!! - The Blanco Family

My name is PFC Roger Sandeen. I am a combat wounded Vietnam veteran. My current bucket list includes attending an Army-Navy football game with my son. I have always wanted to attend this game. My son is currently a fitness instructor providing human performance services to Navy Seals and Special Operations Marines in the San Diego area. In June 1968, I volunteered to serve my country and joined the U.S Army. I was deployed to South Vietnam in January 1969. After a month in country, I volunteered to be point man for my squad. On March 17, 1969 during a search and destroy mission, a booby-trapped grenade exploded in front of our point squad. I was severely wounded and my squad leader, James Harold Armstrong, was killed. I am thankful for the field medics who treated me initially to stop the bleeding and saving my life. I am also grateful to the helicopter pilots who evacuated me to a field hospital and the doctors and nurses who treated me there. Due to the combat operations and associated traumas, I have PTSD and a hearing loss. I love my country and would serve again in a heartbeat!!!! Thank you for reading and considering my request

As an Army veteran, I have always dreamed of attending the annual Army/Navy football game. Through the generosity of 11 individual donors and Vet Tix, my dream came true on Saturday, December 9. I attended the game with my son, Chris. I also got to celebrate my son's birthday on Sunday!! It was all very surreal. It was a beautiful day in Philadelphia - 30 degrees and snow. The game was outstanding with a lot of ups and downs. Army won 14-13 and the game was not decided until the very last play. Even though my team won, we are all one team when it comes to defending our country. I would like to say thank you, thank you, thank you to the 11 donors and Vet Tix for the tickets that you provided to me and my son. You are all very special people!!! Roger

Thank You, to Everyone who made this Trip possible for my family. My kids Loved GWL so much and keep asking us when we're headed back. My 4 yr old loved riding all of the BIG slides. My 3 yr old Loved the Splash pad and Kiddie pool. The thing that they found most enjoyable was watching the Polar Express in the Grand Lobby and being able to lay out on Blankets and eat popcorn. Again Thank You EVERYONE!!!

Hi Everyone! Thank you so much for taking a moment to read this and for supporting our military! I am currently on active duty, approaching my 12 year mark and just returned from deployment. We are a family of 6 and I would love the opportunity to spend either Christmas or Thanksgiving at Walt Disney World with my family this year since I missed being home with them in 2016. Disney World is our family's "happy place" and even though our children are growing up (we have one graduating high school in June) and getting older, Disney has a way of bringing us all closer together. I would especially like to be able to take them to the Very Merry Christmas Party one evening! Thank you again for all of your support!

I am MSgt Christina Petruzzi and I am currently deployed on a 365 tour in Kabul, Afghanistan working with the Afghan Air Force to Train Advise and Assist. This year has been one of the hardest years of my life and I know it has been very difficult on my 2 boys Giovanni (7) and Jacob (15) While dealing with this deployment, sibling separation for the past 11 months + due to different fathers and upcoming divorce and PCS, I just need a break and time to bond again with my children together. I would like to take them on a 4 day park hopper vacation to Disneyland as we have never been there and would love the time to bond with my babies. I am due home within the next few weeks. Disneyland Vacation- 4 day hopper passes for 4

My name is AOC (AW/SW) Hector J Gonzalez my wish is for my wife (Jamie) and myself to attend a Dallas Cowboys Game on the 19th of November 2017. I have been in the United States Navy for 18 years now. I have been assigned to the USS CARL VINSON for the past 5 years. During this time we have completed a ten-month deployment, a six-month deployment and our battle group is preparing for another 6-month deployment in the beginning of the year 2018. With all the deployments and out to sea training exercises, my wife and I have found it difficult to have a weekend getaway. To top it all off, after the upcoming deployment, we will be transferring to our next duty station in the Pacific Northwest making it more difficult for us to travel to Dallas to catch a game. Most of our time is consumed with our kids and everyday life. We will be making a trip to Texas so the kids can visit their grandmother. Since my hometown of Odessa is 5 hours from Dallas, Jamie and myself will be driving to Dallas to take a tour of AT&T Stadium, since tickets to tour the stadium are not out of reach. We would really like to attend an actual game but tickets are at least $200.00 each and due to our upcoming PCS, we are unable to purchase game tickets.
