Past Hero's Wishes
My name is Edward, and I am currently a Chief in the USCG. I am married to a fantastic lady who travels an hour to work daily as a high school teacher. I also have three children ages 15,14, and 11. My two older sons are actively involved in their school wrestling team. My daughter is my sweetheart and is just starting middle school! It’s such a difficult age, and I am thankful my wife is there to hold it all down while I am away to provide a strong female role model for her, but she is admittedly losing her mind with my teenage sons. I stay in contact with my family as much as I can via FaceTime calls and text messages, but I can’t wait to be back and see and hug them face to face. And provide a strong male influence back into teens' lives.

Hello, my name is Stephanie. I’m 29 years old and currently serving in the Army. Over the course of my career, I’ve had one overseas deployment that changed my life in ways I could never have imagined. During that deployment, my family endured unimaginable pain. We lost a loved one, and I received the devastating news that my daughter had been a victim of S/A at the hands of someone we trusted. Around the same time, my wife’s mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Being away from my family during such a difficult time was one of the hardest challenges I’ve faced. I couldn’t be there to support them when they needed me most, and that weighs heavy on my heart. All I want now is to give my little girl a moment of happiness, a chance to feel like a carefree child again. Taking her to the happiest place on earth is a small dream, but one I believe she deserves after everything she’s been through. While I know this won’t fix what has happened, I hope it can bring a smile to her face and create a precious memory for her to hold onto. If you’re able to support us in making this dream come true, my family and I would be forever grateful. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to giving her this special experience. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can offer.

Thank You Message from the Hero:
I just want to give a huge thank you to Shannon, David, Jennifer, Carissa, and Hero’s Wish for the incredible gift of Disneyland tickets! This truly means the world to me and my family. Your generosity gave us the chance to make memories that we’ll cherish forever from the laughter, the rides, and all the magic in between. I’m so grateful for the kindness and support shown to veterans like me. You’ve made a dream come true, and I can’t thank you enough for reminding us what true compassion looks like.

My name is Jesse. I’m on my first deployment and hit a rough patch. Hopefully, Mickey Mouse can bring back the magic. It’s hard being away from family during a combat deployment, but God has got it in his hands. I’m married and have a little boy who will be turning 3 in October. I’m not sure I will make it in time for my birthday, but I hope to make it for his! It would be great to get away, decompress, and reengage with the family. I hope to be able to take him and his wife to Disney World and make magical memories together.

Hello, my name is Alvin, and I’m currently on my sixth and final deployment in the Middle East. I am in the process of applying for retirement next year, which means I will have one more year of service before officially transitioning out of the military. This deployment has been particularly challenging because my daughter, who is turning nine soon, is now old enough to truly understand and remember my absence. My greatest wish is to surprise her with a family trip to Disney World for the four of us when I return home in a few months. I also care for my mother after the loss of my father nine years ago, and my wife has shown incredible strength and resilience throughout every deployment. She truly deserves a meaningful break, and my daughter deserves a magical experience to make up for the special moments we've missed together. This wish is not just for me, but for the incredible people who have stood by me through everything: my wife, my daughter, and my mom. I want to express my gratitude for their love, patience, and sacrifice throughout my years of service.

Hello all, My name is Josh. I’ve served in the Air Force for 15 years, with the last five years working as a Program Manager. I am married to my best friend for almost 16 years and we were blessed with four wonderful kids, two girls and two boys, ranging in age from 14 to seven. I am currently deployed to the Middle East while my family serves back home to keep the ship afloat, so to speak. This deployment has asked a lot of the five of them over the past several months and I wanted to express my gratitude to them for going above and beyond, especially my wife, who is the embodiment of servant leadership while I’ve been away. My wife loves to share experiences as a family, and my kids love superhero’s and Harry Potter, so it would be great to treat the four kids to a 3 day Universal Studios - Orlando trip. After being away from each other for so long - missing birthdays, holidays, and first days of high school - sharing this moment together as a family would be a much appreciated time of refocus and reinvigoration. Thank you for your consideration and for all that you do in support of the veterans!

Thank You Message from the Hero:
To all the donors who made it possible for the Marrero family to go to Universal Studios - thank you! We are extremely humbled by the willingness of people like you to give of yourselves in order to put a smile on a few faces. It really meant a lot to us to be able to spend dedicated time as a family, which is something we’ve learned to cherish after almost two decades of service and the sacrifices that come with it. Sacrifice is something that everyone who wears the uniform knows all too well, with some giving all in service to our country. With that said, I want to thank you and your families for your continued service to the men and women who benefit from your giving. May God bless you and yours for all that you do!

Hello, my name is David and I am writing this asking for your help to fulfill a family trip to help celebrate our retirement from the Military. I enlisted in the military in 2004 and over the past 20 years of service, 14 of those have been in special operations. My career has taken me on 16 combat deployments, resulting in many missed holidays, birthdays, and significant family events. My service has been the honor of my life, but now I am seeking support for a family trip to help mend those missed moments and reconnect with my loved ones. We are seeking a 5-day 3 park pass to Universal Studios Orlando. Now that my kids are tall enough to ride anything, we looking forward to enjoying every attraction the park has to offer. Thanks!

I want to send a heartfelt thank you to VetTix and the generous donors who make this program possible. My family and I were gifted free tickets to Universal Studios, and it truly meant the world to us. After years of deployments and time apart, this week gave us the chance to finally slow down and reconnect. We had an amazing time riding every attraction together, laughing nonstop, and making up for all the moments we’ve missed. Even though our kids are older now, experiencing the parks as a family was something special. We didn’t want the week to end, so we extended our trip by a day and visited Epcot to enjoy the Food & Wine Festival, the perfect way to wrap up an unforgettable week. Thank you again to VetTix and everyone who supports our military families through experiences like this. Your generosity doesn’t just give tickets, it gives us memories that last a lifetime.

Hello, my name is Christian. I’ve served in the Idaho Army National Guard for 14 years, both as a traditional M-day and now as an AGR. I met my wife, Jess, in the peak of Covid-19 while she worked in a Medical Lab processing Covid tests and other critical medical data, while I was on orders supporting Covid response efforts (such as working in food banks to distribute food to at-risk civilians). We’ve been working pretty much nonstop since then, culminating in the 10-month deployment to Kosovo that my unit just returned from. Now that I’m home again, I’ve been reassigned to a lower op-tempo unit, and I want to take the opportunity to thank Jess for everything she’s done, both during the pandemic and everything to support my career and military duties, by taking her to see her Philadelphia Eagles play the Denver Broncos (especially since we didn't get to cheer them on to their Super Bowl victory together due to the deployment). I am so grateful for everything Jess does, especially since my service has required me to miss every Valentine's Day and anniversary we’ve been together; I humbly ask for assistance in showing her how much I appreciate her. Thank you so much for your help and generosity to all those who serve.

We had such an amazing time at the game! While we were disappointed with the final score, the experience with other Eagles fans rooting for the Birds was something we’ll never forget and really brought us closer than ever for the first time since getting back from Kosovo. Thank you so much for the generous donations that made this once-in-a-lifetime trip possible for us!!

My name is Adam and I am requesting a 3-Day VIP pass or a Boss Pass to Furnace Fest in Birmingham, Alabama, October 3 - 5. A large list of my favorite bands, some of which I listened to push me through my deployments, are getting back together and playing at this festival. I am requesting the upgraded passes to provide me with access to the less crowded areas, avoiding any anxiety or PTSD triggers

Thank you so much for providing me with the opportunity to attend Furnace Fest in Birmingham. I was able to reconnect with friends I had not seen in many years and watch performances from groups that helped me through my multiple deployments. It was a very grounding, replenishing weekend that I will never forget. Thank you so much.

Hello, we are the Harmon family. I'm Glenn, and I've been privileged to serve my country through three deployments. Now, I'm excited to start a new chapter and create unforgettable memories with my loved ones. During my last deployment, I missed several special milestones, including my triplets' 3rd birthday, my daughter's 11th birthday, my wife's birthday, and our 10th wedding anniversary. My wife has done an amazing job holding the house down, all while working full time and juggling many schedules. I'm looking forward to making up for lost time and taking my family on a magical adventure to Disneyland when I return home. Thank you for your support in getting our family of 6 to Disneyland with lightning lane passes!

I am returning from my 4th deployment and would like to take my wife and 3 kids to Disney World, this will be the first time for my kids, ages 9,6,4. I have already missed 2 years of my two oldest sons' lives and never seem to have the time to make up for lost time. This would be the first Disney trip for all of them, and I would love for them to experience the joy I had going as a kid. This would also be for my Wife, we honeymooned at Disney 15 years ago. She has been a rock for me and my boys throughout my military career. We would need 5 tickets for the family, my wife, 3 children, and myself.
