As soon as Garrison came on stage and started speaking, it took me back to the early 90s when I began taking road trips by myself with his Lake Woebegone stories on cassette tapes. What a treat to see him for the first time (and probably the last). Thank you to the folks at the Rialto Theatre for making my evening very special. Garrison has slowed down from the 90s but his sense of humor through his stories remains intact.

Couldn’t get photo inside because we were in Row Oh (0) and too crowded and chaotic toward stage. Lights too bright and concert 🎵 too loud but fun show anyway. At soon as event started EVERYONE stood up and phones (think “cameras) were high in the air. Why do/did we have reserved seats when NOBODY sat?? Just wondering. My son in photo is/was the STRYPER fan. We are 30 years apart in age. He has his 1st album (vinyl) at home. Merch table had many overpriced souvenirs. Oh well, they have to make a living? Outside foto was at Intermission.

The performance was heart-warming. The 4men sang EXCELLENT four part harmony to so many Irish toons. One performed a small gig…. Could have seen more of that???? Thank you, Vet Tix, The Rialto Theatre, Christopher Cross, your terrific band, Security, and your great staffs and teams, for a fantastic evening and concert! This was something like our seventh time visiting The Rialto. It is a cool, unique venue. It's an old theater converted to a multi-purpose entertainment facility. The seating and layout can be adjusted to accommodate acts and activities. When you walk into the lobby, you get the warm, familiar feeling of movie theaters from yesteryear, which evokes fond childhood memories. We sat in Row S, on the right facing the stage, which was perfect! I have been a long-time fan of Christopher Cross, but I never dreamed I'd actually see him live. Wow! He makes that guitar sing with fingers of lightening! His band, consisting of artists from around the world, were also phenomenal! My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves listening to some familiar as well as new tunes from his latest recordings. Again, thank you, Vet Tix, The Rialto Theatre, Christopher Cross, your band, Security, and your amazing crews, for a spectacular show! Last Sunday my wife and I were fortunate to attend a concert featuring the group Ladysmith Black Mambazo at the Rialto Theater in Tucson AZ. It is rare that groups perform together for more than a few years. However, in the case of Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Joseph Shabalala formed the group in 1959. He retired in 2014 and four of his sons remain in the group. The tight harmonies and pace of the music highlight the abilities of the 10 men who make up the group. They celebrate the last 5 decades of South Africa’s history. Listening to their songs as they move from English to Zulu and back to English is awesome. One finds one’s self wishing for an understanding of both languages. We greatly appreciate the efforts of those who had a part in our obtaining the tickets: VetTix, the Rialto theater and others who are behind the scenes providing these opportunities. I thank the security and other staff who provided assistance with my disability throughout the evening, especially two security folks who kept the front doors open until my wife appeared with the car.
