Seeing Ohio State play in a Rose Bowl have been a bucket list item for me since I was a kid. This literally made my dream come true. Seeing the Buckeyes dominate Oregon in that fashion after having lost to them earlier in the season started 2025 in the best way possible. What a game! When I was a kid, my mom took me to my first college game at the Rose Bowl, where her beloved Ohio State Buckeyes lost a heartbreaker to USC. Thanks to the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Foundation and their Rose Bowl Veteran Tickets Foundation purchases, I was able to surprise my mom and return the gift she gave me decades ago. This experience was all the sweeter, with her hometown Buckeyes coming away with a dominant victory over the Oregon Ducks. Being a child who grew up in Pasadena California, it was always my dream to go to the big game after we went to the Rose parade. It never happened. This season I got a chance to go to a couple of games through Vet Tix at the Rose Bowl to watch the Bruins with my boys. My son plays pop Warner football and as the teams came out of the tunnel he asked me if he was good enough to one day play college football and I replied by telling him only if he practices so as soon as we got home after the game it was to throw the football around. It was a great experience for the most part. Unfortunately there was a guy who sat in front of us who also got his tickets through vettix who was drunk and he was being obnoxious/disrespectful to everyone around . The stadium was pact and was hard to find security, fortunately he left after half time . After he left, this changed our experience and we had an amazing time . Thank you vettix for the tickets .

Plus, it was really nice being in a block with other military veterans and first responders. I had really nice conversations with some of the people around me. Truly a wonderful experience and a phenomenal way to start of the year.

The Rose Bowl is such a historic venue that just being there seems almost enough. Thee Ohio State University held Oregon to minus 28 total yards rushing. INCONCEIVABLE!! Oregon tried to make it close, but then the Buckeyes just hit the gas and never looked back. Took a while to get into the stadium but given what had just happened in New Orleans it was expected. Could not have had nicer weather for a football game.
