Support - MLB.com App for Tigers - Special Instructions
This FAQ addresses specific issues with associating your 'My Tigers Tickets' account with MLB
Firstly, we would like to appologize for the number of steps this will take you to get to your tickets.
At this time, using the ballpark app is the only way to get into the Detroit Tigers games, the app is not connected to your tigers account or to the mlb.com account.
All of the following steps have to be done manually.
STEP 1: Setup account in the Tiger's ticketing system:
If you have never recieved tickets from the Tigers, our system will create a new account for you, then you must follow steps one and two.
If you have recieved tickets from the Tigers in the past, you can start by loggging into your account at https://mytickets.tickets.com/buy/MyTicketsServlet?orgid=38271&agency=TGEM_MYTIXX
|
You will see the login screen that will look like the image below:
Enter the Username and Temporary Password provided in the email:
STEP 2: Link your MLB.com account with thew Tiger's system:
You will then need to link an MLB.com account to the Tiger's system.
- If you already have an MLB.com account, select I already have an account on MLB.com. Enter you existing account credentials (you can skip to STEP 4).
- If you do not have an MLB.com account, select I don't have an account on MLB.com to create one with an email and a password of your choosing.
STEP 3: Email verification for your new MLB.com account:
|
Next, log in to the app with the credentials you chose from above when you created/linked your MLB.com account from your Tigers system account.
The MLB ballpark app will send an email to you to grant you access to your account in the app, please open your email client and click the link they provide you.
On the webpage, back in your web browser, please click Confirm, this will grant you access to the app.
STEP 4: Link your MLB Ballpark app to your Tiger's ticketing system account:
In your MLB Ballpark app, select Link Ticket Account:
For extra fun, they are having you select the same button, but now on another page:
Next, use the drop down field to select the team:
Now, select the venue:
Now your account should be linked.
Voilà, no tickets!!
Troubleshooting:
Most likely at this point you will not see your tickets!
This is what we experienced every single time we tested this.
You can try to pull the screen down to see if it refreshes and finds your tickets.
This worked 1 out of 5 of our test. For the other 4, we had to unlink our accounts, then re-link them.
If you still don't see your tickets, you may need to unlink your account Tiger's account from your MLB Ballpark app:
Select the "link account" ... Right... then you will see a box where you can Unlink the account.
Once unlinked, clicked the link account link (again) to repeat the account linking steps as shown previously in STEP 4.
Yay!!! Your Tickets!!
Now that you have completed this process, remember to take your phone with you to the game, as you will need to open the MLB ballpark app, click wallet, and open your tickets to gain entry.
