Dear Vet Tix and Washington Performing Arts, Thank you for donating tickets so Veterans like me could enjoy this superb performance of The Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Lahav Shani. The first piece was a beautiful rendition of Arvo Part’s Swansong. Then pianist Daniil Trifonov soared on Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 9. I had a great seat and could watch his hands seemingly gliding effortlessly up and down the keyboard. The second half of the program was a powerful presentation of selections from Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet. The conductor and orchestra responded strongly to the audience’s thunderous reception and standing ovation at the end. The staff at the Kennedy Center was courteous and professional. It all resulted in a very memorable evening for me! Best regards, Edgar Russell
